How to Decorate a Room With a Minnesota Vikings Theme

The Minnesota Vikings are unfortunately known more for their struggles than their successes. Still, the Vikings have a very loyal fan base which cheers on the Vikes regardless of the team's record. If you know a die hard Vikings fan or you are one yourself, a room dedicated to the team would be a dream come true. Here is how to decorate a room with a Minnesota Vikings theme.

Instructions

    • 1

Paint the room in the colors of the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings are known for their purple and gold uniforms. One of their nicknames is the Purple People Eaters. You could stick just with purple or use both purple and gold for the walls.

    • 2

Place the logo of the Vikings on a wall in the room. The Viking is known throughout sports and is immediately with the team. You could place a decal on the wall or simply by a flag and hang it in the room.

    • 3

Find an electronic device that blares the Viking horn and put it in the room. Every time the Vikings score at home, the horn is blared in the Metrodome. You may have to search online for one of these. If you can't find one, you could always create your own.

Search for pictures of the Purple People Eater defense from the 1970s and place them in the room. This squad is arguably the most famous in Minnesota history. Team shops have plenty of Purple People Eater memorabilia such as this. You can also find many of the pictures on the internet.

Buy Cris Carter merchandise and place it throughout your room. Carter will forever be remembered as one of the greatest wide receivers in NFL history and one of the best to ever play for the Vikings. Perhaps you could find a picture of Carter making one of his many touchdown receptions. After all, all Cris Carter does is catch touchdowns.

Paint the lyrics of “Skol, Vikings” on a wall in the room. This is the fight song of the Vikings. The song is played when the Vikings score and is known by any true fan of the team.
