The biggest part of being a grateful bride is to genuinely be thankful for the people who are a part of your wedding day. It is important to show warm appreciation for kindness, support and wedding gifts by showing these people how you feel. Here are some simple steps for how to be a grateful bride.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Say thank you to everyone. Try to make it a point to talk with every single wedding guests. If nothing else, at least just say, "Hi. It's good to see you," or "Thank you." Everyone is there for you so be gracious and grateful.

  2. Step 2

Another way to show appreciation to your wedding guests is with your favors. Gift your friends and family in a way that is unique to you, your new husband and your wedding: bake cookies, give beach towels, chocolates, wine or some handmade craft. Be creative and only give something you would appreciate receiving. Don't waste your money on items that will be left behind. If you don't want to give any gifts or have a tight budget, donate money to charity or scientific research and inform your guests of your contribution in lieu of favors. It's a generous way to honor your wedding.

  3. Step 3

Tip your vendors. Acknowledge how important the florist, photographers, caterers and wait/bar staff are in making your day special. Show them that you appreciate their hard work because they are only there to help your wedding be everything you hoped it would be.

  4. Step 4

Give gifts to people who are important to your wedding, such as the wedding party, your officiant, your parents and the wedding planner. From cards and flowers to jewelry and spa treatments, make sure to show gratitude to the people who support and love you the most. These gifts are traditionally given at the rehearsal dinner.

  5. Step 5

Write thank you cards! The most sincere way to thank someone for their gift, contribution or attendance at your wedding is with a small note of appreciation. It doesn't take long; just write one at a time.

  6. Step 6

Be thankful for your new husband. You've chosen someone to spend the rest of your life with, so love him and show him how grateful you are to have him.
