Playing 9-ball online is a lot easier than playing it in real life. Sure, it may lack the smoky smell of the pool hall and doesn't always have those cool overhead lights, but the advantage is that you can play in your pajamas, avoid spending lots of money and get your game on at any time of day or night, regardless of what your friends are up to.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer with Internet connection
  1. Step 1

Decide whether you want a simple 2-dimensional game or a slightly more complex 3-dimensional game. A 2-dimensional game will play much faster and is easier, but obviously is not as realistic as a 3-dimensional game.

  2. Step 2

Click on the the 2-D link below if you want a 2-dimensional game, and start up a game. You can click on Single Player or Multiplayer, depending on whether you would like to play against a computer or another player. Note that you will need to be logged in to play against another player. If you are playing Single Player, skip to Step 4.

  3. Step 3

Challenge another player if you have selected the multiplayer option. This should start you at a table, and you can now proceed to Step 4.

  4. Step 4

Click on the cue ball to summon your cue stick. Move the mouse until it is pointing at the correct angle, then hold down the mouse button and move the mouse to increase the power. Release the button to take the shot.

  5. Step 5

Click on the 3-D link below if you prefer a 3-dimensional game. If you do not wish to register for the site, select "Play as Guest."

  6. Step 6

Click on another player's name in the waiting room and challenge him to begin a game.

  7. Step 7

Hold down the mouse button to take control of the cue stick, then draw the mouse backwards slowly and swiftly roll it forward to shoot at the ball.

  8. Step 8

Attempt to get each numbered ball in the pockets in order.

Tips & Warnings
  • Familiarize yourself with 9-ball rules before playing.
  • Don't sink the 9-ball until the rest of the balls are gone, or you'll lose the game!
