How to Win a Lightsaber Duel on "Jedi Academy"

Knocking out cannon fodder grunts is easy enough with the power of the Force at your beck and call, but to win a lightsaber duel while playing Jedi Academy requires a bit of skill. Learn about some techniques to take down even the toughest of opponents, and wield your lightsaber with the confidence of a true Jedi. Use the Force.

1. Move constantly. The worst thing you can do in a duel is to stand still, because your opponents will then be able to hit you easily. Keep moving as much as possible, especially if any attacks are aimed your way.

2. Focus your aim. As much as possible while moving, try to keep your crosshairs centered on your opponent. Avoiding damage is your top priority, but you can't win unless you hit your opponent too.

3. Strike with your kata at close range. By pressing the attack and alternate attack keys at once, you will strike with an attack kata. This is not a move with a lot of range, but is one of your more powerful lightsaber attacks.

4. Choose an appropriate stance. Fast Stance is better for taking on weaker enemies, since you can simply crush them into oblivion with the speed of your attacks. Strong Stance is a better choice for tougher opponents, since you want to make each hit count.

5. Use the staff-saber (or dual sabers) if you can. The staff takes some getting used to, but once mastered, is the most powerful weapon you have in a lightsaber duel.

6. Strike at any openings. If your opponent attempts a swing with large wind-up, it will likely have recovery time as well. Sidestep the blow and then quickly slash at the opening created

7. Use your Force powers. If you've chosen the Dark side, use Force Grip to grab your opponent and drop them off a cliff. If you've chosen the Light side, use Force Absorb to deflect any incoming Dark attacks.

Tips & Warnings

• If knocked down, use your Force Jump to recover swiftly.

• Strong stance has a large recovery time, so don't use it if you're likely to be surrounded.
