How to grill the perfect shish ka bob

Shish ka bobs make a great dinner for family or entertaining. Here are few tricks to make them come out perfect. Does this Spark an idea?

  • wooden skewers
  • meat, vegetables,
  • grill
  • tongs

Instructions

    • 1

      Soak wooden skewers in water for 1 hour. Will need at least 2 skewers per person.

    • 2

      Cut meat and vegetables into chunk sizes.
      Examples are chicken, pork, steak, shrimp, onion, green and red preppers, zuccini, tomatoes.

      Can place all food items in a marinade, such as teryaki, if desired.

    • 4

      Place 5-6 pieces of meat on each skewer/person. Can combine different meats. Just rememeber chicken and pork need to be cooked more thoroughly than steak.

      place 5 to 6 pieces of vegetables on 2nd skewer.

      grill vegetables on low

    • 7

      grill meat on medium.

    • 8

      turn vegetables and meat at same time, approximately 4-5 minutes.
