How to Get Six Stars in Grand Theft Auto IV

Attaining six wanted stars is the pinnacle of one’s villainy. It’s not easy to pull off: you have to wreak a lot of havoc to get six stars. But if you can make it, it is a sight to behold. Are you up to the challenge?

Difficulty: Challenging

1. Stock up on armor, rocket-propelled grenades, Molotov cocktails assault rifle and sniper rifle ammunition. Buy as much as you can carry. You’ll need it.
2. Find a helicopter. You can steal one at the airport. It will be instrumental in getting you six stars. If you haven’t already, learn how to use the helicopter by taking it for a spin with Brucie.
3. Find someplace high. Ideally what you’re looking for is a low rooftop with no stairway. You want someplace high enough so that nobody can reach you but low enough so you can see pedestrians and cars. The ideal spot will be near a stoplight or a high-traffic area. Make sure there is no stairway, otherwise the cops will come up there and blast you.
4. Get to the roof. This is where the helicopter comes in. Land on the roof of your chosen building and make sure you’ve got enough room to move around and enough of a view.
5. Start throwing your Molotov cocktails off the roof. Fire is one of the quickest ways to get the cops really mad at you. This is where the right building pays off. If you’ve got enough foot traffic around the building, you shouldn’t need to throw many cocktails off.
6. Use your rifles to add to the stars. Pick off whoever you can and keep throwing cocktails until you run dry. Save your rockets for when the police helicopters show up. It is important to shoot down police choppers quickly, otherwise they will start dropping SWAT team members onto the roof.
7. Keep blasting until you get what you’re after. Congratulations, you’ve got six stars!
