Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
- face paints
- small brushes
- jar of water
- paper towels
- template (printed simple images)
Step1
First you will need to find a bunch of simple pictures that you could use as guides. Don't exhaust yourself trying to find too many, anywhere from five to ten would be plenty. The usual genre are kid friendly items such as butterflies, cats, balloons, stars, etc. Once you have compiled your list then print it for a guideline.
Step2
Practice on paper or on your own kids or willing loved ones. Remember that the designs should be simple but you will want to give a try to each one at least twice to become familiar with it.
Step3
Gather all of your materials at the fund raising event. Set up each of the paints you have chosen to use as well as your brushes and paper towels. Your guideline page will also serve as a sample for your customers.
Step4
Charge a nominal fee, usually only $1 to $3 (depending on the event) and get started. Remember to take your time and don't worry if it's not exactly perfect. Kids honestly do not really care because they aren't seeing it themselves anyway. They just know that their face is painted and they are tickled by that fact alone. Just do your best and have fun!
