Perfect Tan
Perfect Tan

In this article you will learn how to acieve a perfect tan combined with both indoor tanning products, indoor tanning beds and sunless tanning products. This is a relatively easy process, however somewhat costly.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Exfoliant
  • Moisturizer
  • Indoor tanning lotion
  • Tanning bed
  • Sunless tanning spray by mystic tan
  1. Step 1
    Exfoliant

    Exfoliant

In the shower on the morning you wish to go tanning, specifically indoor tanning, you must use an exfoliant. Exfoliation is extremely important to the overall effectiveness of tanning. By exfoliating the skin we are able to wash away dry, dead skin cells that accumulate on the surface. Shaving is also an excellent way to "exfoliate" because the razor gets rid of excess dry skin cells as well. Exfoliation is important because its rids dry skin, which can interfere with the tanning process, and also prevents flaking of the skin. Flaking of the skin promotes skin regenesis ( surface cells are replaced by new skin cells) and therefore speeds up the fading of your tan.

  2. Step 2
    Moisturizer

    Moisturizer

After your shower and exfoliation it is important to moisturize. At this stage, most any moisturizer will work. Moisturizers are most effective on moist skin, which is why you should immediately apply lotion after stepping out of the shower. This way, it will absorb better into the skin and your skin will retain moisture for longer. This is an important step before tanning because moist skin gets the most effective tanning results. As I mentioned earlier, dry skin flakes off easier, and is replaced by new skin cells. When old skin cells flake off it causes you to lose your tan.

  3. Step 3
    Select tanning lotion

    Select tanning lotion

Talk to your tanning salon specialist about the right indoor tanning lotion/product for you. An indoor tanning agent is ideal to accelerate (darken) the results of your tan and over time is found to be very cost-effective. By using an indoor tanning lotion you will enhance your tan, which will allow you to have a deep dark tan while tanning less often. Tanning lotions also contain many skin nutrients, such as vitamins A, E & C, which promote healthy and younger looking skin. They also contain more antioxidant, which helps prevent the accumulation of free radicals (toxins in your body that age you).

  4. Step 4
Perfection Sunless Spray by Mystic Tan

Perfection Sunless Spray by Mystic Tan

The final step to a great tan is to perfect it. This can be achieved by purchasing "perfection" by mystic tan, which is essentially a spray on bronzer by mystic tan. The results are absolutely amazing. This product delivers a rich, bronzed looking glow that does not streak or clump in a certain area. It is a light mist, which contains the same ingredients as if you were to get a mystic tan. You can spray it on your face, legs, arms, wherever. The results look stunning. If you find that you are a little red after you tan, this product completely gets rid of that redness and makes you look like you have a rich, dark, golden tan! It also brings a healthy, moist looking vibrancy to your face.
