College is full of all sorts of social events that give you an excuse to drink an inordinate amount of alcohol. Like beer pong for instance. Usually the combination of drinking beer and tossing a little ping pong ball ends with a winner after one round, but sometimes people are too evenly matched. Here's how to play double overtime beer pong.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 12 red plastic cups
  • 4 beers
  • Ping pong table or equivalent flat surface
  • Ping pong ball
  • 2 teams (usually two players each)
  1. Step 1

Form a small pyramid with your red cups. Since it is overtime, you don't want to play a full round. Set-up your cups in the shape of a pyramid so that 3 are in the back, 2 are in the middle and 1 lone cup is in the front. (The single cup will be closest to your opponent.) Build the same pyramid on the other side.

  2. Step 2

Pour 2 beers on each side, filling each of the 6 cups equally. Repeat this on the other side so that 4 beers have been used and all 12 cups are full.

  3. Step 3

Toss the ping pong ball into your opponent's cup. If you successfully get the ball in the cup, then they must drink the beer from that cup.

  4. Step 4

Repeat the tossing of the ping pong ball alternating turns. As the ball lands in each cup, remove it from the table. The first team to toss the ball into all 6 cups completes the overtime beer pong game.

Tips & Warnings
  • Keep a cup of water on the side so that you can rinse the ping pong ball before each throw. There's nothing nastier than playing overtime beer pong with beer with foreign objects floating in it.
  • If there is a tie, then you will move onto triple overtime beer pong. The set-up of the table is slightly different and a little more challenging.
