The best style for hair has long been an interest of women. Now, more and more men are taking notice of their personal hairstyle, and they have specific preferences. After a haircut, it's easy to style a man's hair to give him just the look he wants. From a trendy, messy look to a hairstyle appropriate for the office, the possibilities are endless.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Wash the man's hair thoroughly to remove any loose hairs. Towel-dry his hair and comb through it to make sure you've removed all the loose hair.

  2. Step 2

Apply a small amount of your favorite product into your hands. Gel is a popular option for many men, but it's not the right choice for everyone. If his hair is thin, choose pomade because gel can actually make hair stick together, accentuating the scalp.

  3. Step 3

Rub your product through the man's damp hair. Begin at the front, creating a spike as the product mingles with the hair. If you want to style the hair in a spike, use plenty of product so the hair stands up all day.

  4. Step 4

Run your fingers through his hair, creating a messy look. This thoroughly distributes the product and calms down the crazy look that sometimes accompanies spiked hair. Short hair with a messy style on top is still office appropriate in many circumstances.

  5. Step 5

Comb through his hair if he wants a smooth, professional look. Find his natural, side part and stick with a classic style by combing the hair over to one side.

  6. Step 6

Finish all styles with a spritz of hairspray. This helps his style hold all day, and it helps prevent the side effects of frizz.
