How to Break Down an Inversion Table

Inversion tables are great for relieving back pain and suffering. For a few hundred dollars, you can have an inversion table of your own to use at home or at the office. But inversion tables don't look very nice set up in the middle of your living room, so you'll need to break down your inversion table for storage. Fortunately, most are fairly simple to break down.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Look for the clips on the side of your inversion table toward the bottom. You need to push the clips in and then fold the foot plate underneath the inversion table so that it can lie fairly flat under a bed or in a closet.

  2. Step 2

Release the two spring-loaded clips on the side of the table to release the basket from the rest of the machine. The table will be heavy to pick up, so remove it carefully from the frame and lay it down on the bed or floor beside you.

  3. Step 3

Fold up the frame. The frame of the inversion table should fold up neatly and lie down flat, so you can easily store it together with the basket. The entire unit shouldn't take up much room at all, and will take only a few minutes to set back up for your next session.

Tips & Warnings
  • You don't need to go to the trouble of removing the foot plate entirely, since you'll just have to put it back on the next time you use the machine.
