Red is the accent color in just about every clown face, and the hobo clown face is no exception. Red works great for accenting cheeks and lips, and can really put the finishing touches on your look. Adding red to your hobo clown makeup isn't difficult, as long as you have a little patience and time to practice.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Choose a small lip brush, and begin by loading it up with red clown makeup. A true red is usually best, so you don't have to worry about blending colors or trying to pick different shades to get the right look.

  2. Step 2

Give yourself some rosy cheeks. To be a hobo clown, you need a little bit of color in your cheeks. You can get them by applying red circles to the apples of your cheeks. Start off small, and then build on the circles until they're the size that you desire.

  3. Step 3

Accent your lips. Your mouth is one of your best tools for getting laughs, so apply a generous coating of red grease paint to the upper and lower lips.

  4. Step 4

Add on a nose by liberally painting the tip of your nose bright red. Hobo clowns don't wear big false noses. Instead, they paint their noses with the same makeup they use for their lips and cheeks. You can color across the bottom of your nose, but don't go too far up the bridge. Just put a red accent at the tip of your nose.
