Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Ladder
  • Pool brush
  1. Step 1

Clean the area of the screen closest to you by hand and brush off the debris. Doing so ensures that the area is clean if you need to steady yourself.

  2. Step 2

Put the pool brush on the screen as far as it can reach. Make sure you can still comfortably reach the handle when doing so.

  3. Step 3

Pull the pool brush toward you. You may need to pick the pool brush up and go over the same spot again, as things such as pine needles and small sticks get caught in the tiny holes in the screen.

  4. Step 4

Brush the debris to the ground. Continue pulling the pull brush toward you until the debris goes over the side of the screen enclosure and on to the ground. Be sure to move your hands up the pole of the pool brush to bring it toward you instead of leaning back.

Tips & Warnings
  • Go over the same area twice to make sure you get all the debris. Do this to make sure you clean off all the debris.
  • Avoid putting pressure on the brush. If you push down on the brush to get a piece of debris that has become stuck, you run the risk of damaging or tearing the pool enclosure screen.
