If you've got the basics of juggling balls and clubs down and you're looking for ways to expand your routine, you may want to look for some innovative and interesting props to substitute. If you're performing for an audience of kids at events like birthday parties or carnivals, a good juggling prop to use is plungers. If you can juggle weighted clubs, you can juggle plungers, which are similarly weighted.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 3 sink plungers

Step1
Hold the plungers as you would juggling clubs, grasping the end of the handle. Simple sink plungers are best to use since they are small and manageable, although all plungers are proportioned and weighted roughly the same.
Step2
Juggle the 3 sink plungers to get a feel for the balance of weight. Try out any club tricks that you know and want to use with the plungers to make sure that the larger cup of the plunger doesn't interfere.
Step3
Widen your juggling throws if necessary to compensate for the larger size of the plunger cups in comparison to club bases.
Step4
Add some funny tricks useful with plungers. If the cup is small enough and your face is large enough to accommodate it, try sticking the plungers to your cheeks as you juggle. You can switch from throwing the plungers to just sticking them to your face and un-sticking them, switching hands and following the same motion as you would while throwing.
Step5
Use humorous effects when adding a plunger. If you want to add a plunger to your routine, stick it to your mouth or elsewhere on your body where it will stick and you can easily access it and then grab it from there to add it in to the routine.

Tips & Warnings

  • Be sure to use lots of plunger jokes and humorous lines when performing with plungers in front of kids. Kids love silly tricks and jokes about bathroom humor, so plungers are the perfect prop to use with kids for automatic laughs.
