Things You'll Need:
- Craps table
- Chips to play
-
Step 1
Get chips from the craps dealer. When you approach the craps table, place your money on the felt near one of the two dealers. They will ask you what denomination of chips you'd like to play with and exchange it for you. They will then put the money back on the felt. Like other casino games, the money is never handed to the dealer. The felt is the middle-man. In craps, etiquette is very important in game play.
-
Step 2
Determine what bet you would like to make in the Proposition Box. The Proposition Box will show many different combinations of die on which you are betting. Below the picture of the die combinations, you will find the odds. The harder it is to roll a particular pair of die, the better the payout. You can also bet on the 2, 3, and 12 (which is craps) or the 7.
-
Step 3
Place your chips on the table and instruct the stickman where you would like your bet in the Proposition Box. Because the box is in the middle of the table, it is bad form to reach over. The stickman's job is to move the chips to the proper location. Don't be shy and don't be afraid to tell them where you want your money, should they make a mistake.
-
Step 4
Wait for the next roll to determine if you won. If you bet that snake-eyes would come up and they do, then you just won 30 times your money. However if they didn't, you just lost your bet.
