How to Pass Sixth Grade Math

To pass sixth grade math you need to get good at a little geometry, fractions, light statistics, conversions, graphs, probability, ratios and percentages. With a little effort and a few tricks you can do it.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Step1
Talk to your teacher at the beginning of the school year, and tell her you not only want to pass your math class, but you want to get an 'A' in the class. She will think of you and help you throughout the year.
Step2
Take a good look at your math textbook. See how it is the same material, but just a little harder than your fifth grade math book. Look at a seventh grade math book, it too is the same material, but a little harder than your sixth grade book. Remember this.
Step3
Set up a time with your parents after school to practice your weak areas in math. Practice. Practice. Practice--just like learning to play the piano. That is how you get good.
Step4
Every month and a half or so talk to your teacher about how you are doing. Ask for a diagnostic math test to see how you compare to other young people your age.
Step5
Determine to bring up the rear and get good in any weak areas you may have. If you need more help, ask your parents to help you find a sixth-grade math tutor.
