How to Spray Paint a PDA
So, you're tired of your PDA's color, and you need a change. The case is boring, and you don't have the same options for a cover as a regular cell phone. The best alternative to living with a boring PDA color is to spray paint it.

1
Remove the battery door, your stylus and all of your PDA's covers. Use a small Philip's head screwdriver to remove the screws attached to the cover, and place them on your work surface in the same configuration as on the PDA. Use a case-opening tool for anything attached without screws.
-
2
Set the inside of your PDA aside and lay out newspapers.

3
Use painter's tape to cover the camera lens, speaker, microphone, IR port, wired hands-free port, recharge port, screen and anything else you don't want spray painted. Use a small knife to cut the applied tape right at the edges of those areas.
-
4
Clean with rubbing alcohol the areas you're planning to paint.
-
5
Shake the can of paint for a few minutes. Then hold it about 1 foot from the newspaper, and test it to be sure it sprays evenly.
-
6
Hold the can about 1 foot from the covers, and spray a thin layer of paint. Let the covers dry for 15 minutes. Repeat until you've reached your desired look.
-
7
Peel off the tape, and rub the dried paint with paper to remove any excess. Reassemble your PDA.

Tips & Warnings
You can also use a fine-grained sandpaper to remove excess dried paint.
Paint in a well-ventilated area so the fumes don't overwhelm you.
You can use an enamel paint but it takes longer to dry. Your PDA might be out of commission for a few days instead of just one.
