How to Level up Easy on Guild Wars

Guild Wars may be one of the easier online role-playing games to "power level" in. There are some simple tricks you can use to attack multiple monsters and then quickly re-spawn them to attack again, allowing you to build up your experience and levels rather quickly.

Instructions

    • 1

Focus on killing monsters equal to your current level. They will provide you with the most experience for the monsters you will be able to defeat. You can try killing stronger monsters too, if you dare.

    • 2

Customize your skill bar for the monsters you're about to attack (especially stronger ones). If you're taking on multiple monsters with melee attacks, focus your defense against physical damage and use attacks that hit multiple targets.

    • 3

Use spells like Whirlwind, Armor of Earth, Lava Font and Fire Storm if you are an Elementalist. Customize your bar with Vampiric Gaze, Vampiric Touch, Shadow of Fear and Spiteful Spirit if you're a Necromancer.

    • 4

Avoid taking on a lot of quests where you don't encounter a lot of monsters during them. The experience you'll gain from completing them isn't good compared to the monsters you could fight in the same amount of time.

    • 5

Take advantage of Guild Wars' "instanced zones" and "town warping" features. Once you kill all the monsters in a zone, you can leave or warp to a town and then return to the zone. The monsters will be instantly re-spawned!

Tips & Warnings

  • As with all online RPGs, paying someone else to "power level" your character for you is not recommended. Not only will it take some of the fun out of the game, but it could possibly get you banned from it.
