How to Do Ergonomic Finger Exercises
If you spend a lot of time working at a computer, you've probably experienced strain and stiffness in your fingers at the end of a long day. This is a result of repetitive motion, and it can grow more painful as time goes by. A few minutes each day spent doing ergonomic finger exercises can ease the stiffness and pain, and can often prevent more serious injury.

1
Extend your right hand, and with the other hand, gently pull each finger back, holding it for a few seconds. Then, pull all of your fingers back at the same time, feeling the stretch throughout your fingers and hand. Repeat the stretch several times.

2
Hold your hands straight up on each side of your head, and extend all five fingers. Bend your thumb back, and then fold it to your palm, stretching for a few seconds. Then, make a fist, squeezing gently with all of your fingers, and again extend your fingers.

Press your palms together in front of you with your fingers up, as if you are praying. Keep your palms and hands together and lower your hands until you feel the stretch in your fingers and wrists.
-
4
Clasp your hands with your fingers laced together. Turn them to the right for a few seconds, and then to the left for a few seconds. Repeat.

Purchase a soft stress ball, and squeeze it throughout the day, whenever you feel your fingers feeling tired or stiff. This will relieve tension in your hands, and will also help to build strength.
