Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Peanut butter
  • Bread of your choice
  • Honey or jam
  • Jack o'lantern cookie cutter or sharp paring knife
  1. Step 1

Cut one slice of bread into a jack o'lantern shape with a cookie cutter. Cut a piece of bread into a matching round shape for the bottom of the sandwich. Reserve the small triangular nose and eye pieces.

  2. Step 2

Spread peanut butter on the round piece of bread, and add some honey on top of the peanut butter.

  3. Step 3

Place the jack o'lantern shaped bread on top of the sandwich. Arrange the nose and eye shapes on the top of the sandwich as jack o'lantern teeth.

Tips & Warnings
  • If your supermarket or bakery carries orange bread or pumpkin bread, try using it in the peanut butter jack o' lantern sandwiches. It will add an extra bit of sweetness, and the unique color will be perfect for Halloween.
  • You can also make grilled cheese jack o'lantern sandwiches. Simply substitute cheese for the peanut butter and honey, and toast the bread or grill the sandwiches lightly. Cheddar cheese is the perfect color, but any cheese will be delicious.
  • Jack o'lantern sandwiches can also be made with tuna, turkey, lettuce or any sandwich filling that you like.
