How to Cuddle With the Children

So much time is spent working, doing housework, cooking for the family, on the computer, and shopping, but not enough time is dedicated to taking a break to cuddle with the children. Life is too short and precious to let this go unnoticed and unattended to. Children value and thrive on affection and probably would give anything for you to spend some time each day cuddling as a family.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate
Step1
Call for a family meeting with all members of the immediate family. Explain to your family members that you plan on spending at least a half an hour each night cuddling.
Step2
Discuss what it means to cuddle with your children and with each other. Let your family understand that this time should be spent to de-stress everyone from the day's issues. Work should not be discussed during cuddling time.
Step3
Shut off all the televisions in the house and don't take any phone calls during this time. Cuddling time should be spent in bed together talking about dreams, hopes, and plans for the future.
Step4
Imagine that you are all stranded on an island. Together discuss what you would do, how you would survive, and what you would eat. Play imaginary games such as this during cuddling time. Also, spend some time playing tickling games and having pillow fights.
Step5
Show affection for each other while you cuddle up in bed with a good story. Children thrive on affection and let them lay their heads upon your shoulders and allow them to cuddle with their siblings.
