Have you ever considered the power of earrings to subtly alter your face shape and play up your best features? Here's how to choose earrings that will flatter your face and body.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Enhance your face shape.

If you have a round face, select a longer dangle style of earring to draw the eye downward and make your face look longer. Never repeat the shape of your face with your earrings which means you should avoid round earrings of all types. A long face looks best with shorter, wider earrings as opposed to long dangles. Wide earrings tend to give the face the illusion of added width.

  2. Step 2

    Enhance your hair color.

If you have blonde hair, your best metal shade is likely to be bright gold or brushed gold. If you have dark hair, you can wear both golds and silvers, although black hair seems to be enhanced by silver and platinum metals. Red haired women can wear copper metals beautifully.

  3. Step 3

    Enhance your build.

Larger, full-figured women can wear large, dramatic earrings while smaller, more petite women might be overwhelmed. This isn't always the case since petite women can look dramatic in a large pair of earrings as long as other jewelry is kept to a minimum. If you're tall, you probably have a long neck which works well with dangles.
