Change, some people love it and some avoid it like the plague. With the condition of our country today there is a definite need for change (do you know that America is currently the FATTEST nation in the world?). If you are ready for a serious change in your life; from losing some dangerous adipose tissue (read: FAT...eeewww), to completing a goal of competing in a triathalon, you may be seeking the services of a personal trainer. So, how do you do this and ensure you are finding the best person to work with you?

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Tough question! Determine what your needs are...why are you seeking the services of a trainer? Are your goals specific enough to need a specialized professional, or do you just want to learn to use the circuit at the gym? Highly specialized trainers usually come with a much deserved higher price tag; so be sure you are certain of what qualifications you are non-negotiable on.
Step2
Check your local listings for certified trainers in your area. There are a few respected organizations who certify trainers, ensuring that you are getting someone with knowledge and who meets a strict standard. Many health clubs offer a free session or two if you ask...if you prefer to work with a male or female, request it. It is your right and the club should comply.
Step3
Make a list of questions which are important to you; contact the trainer and ask away! Many independently employed trainers offer a first session for free if you ask (although this is not always the case). The first session typically involves measurements, assessments, and believe it or not, finding out if the personalities will get along.
Step4
Find out about special packages offered...often times the more serious you are about reaching your goals, the more the trainer is willing to work with you on price. If you are committed to a few months worth of training, there should be some significant savings per session versus just a few weeks training.
Step5
Commit to yourself! There is only one you...you are special to those who love you and they want you around. Discuss with the trainer your goals and the realistic time frame it should take to reach them. Then..get going!
Step6
If you don't have time to go to a gym; start walking and contact an online professional. Believe it or not, with proper eating guidance and some increased activity you will definitely see yourself start to shrink! Go to www.moblessed.perfectbodyshape.com for more information.

Tips & Warnings

  • Selecting a personal trainer is a very serious undertaking so be sure you do your research. You want someone who in knowledgeable with any injuries or special needs you have; who is going to take into consideration what motivates and inspires you. You should have your trainer's full attention during work-outs, so if he or she is making social hour as you crunch away...demand more attention to your form. Be advised that most failures can be attributed to lack of knowledge on how to accomplish something...and each failure comes with a price. A trainer could very well be the best choice you could make towards turning your life around for the better!
  • If your trainer does not ask you about physical conditions which may prevent you from participating in certain exercises, this is a red flag. Be sure to disclose any and all health conditions to your trainer, as this will help determine the best training regimine for you. Always consult your health practioner before beginning any exercise program.
