This article is talking about how to save money by shopping with reusable bags at Hannaford stores. I will be discussing how to go about saving money in the process and how it will also help out the environment one bag at a time!
Things You'll Need

Make sure you have all your bags with you when you come to the store, if you do not have enough you can also buy them at Hannaford for 1.50 each and they fold up to make packing very easy. Even if you are buying just a few things bring just one bag and you still get the discount.

I would put your bags right in your shopping cart as you shop. Do your normal shopping. Make sure to get eggs, milk, and bread while your at the store!

When you come up to the register make sure and pass your bags to the bagger first, and tell the cashier how many you have so that they can give you the right discount. $0.05 per bag you have so if you have 8-10 bags for a large family that is $0.40 saved every time you go shopping! After shopping 3 times that is a savings of $1.20! Think about how much you would save in the time of a year. Of course think about how many plastic bags you didn't use over this time, doing your part for the environment while saving money! This process can also be done at other stores to help the environment but you don't get the discount.

Tips & Warnings
$.05 saved every time you use one reusable bag at the checkout of Hannaford!
Even if your going in just for a soda, use your bag to get the discount!
Be careful not to use your bags to carry back raw meat as the bag may get moldy, have the bagger wrap your hamburger in another plastic bag before.
Make sure to wash your bags after a while, don't want to be getting your groceries dirty!

Good article. Also, using canvas bags prevents your groceries from falling out of a torn plastic bag!
