How to Make Quick Hors Doeuvres from Tortilla Shells and Whatever You Have

Ever need lightning quick hors doeuvres or fingerfoods to serve or take to an event? No time or money for anything fancy? Use Tortilla shells and some things on hand to make elegant and tasty pinwheels.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Flour Tortilla shells....preferable large size, any size will do!
  • Base.......Mayo, cream cheese, Sour cream, salad dressing, left-over dip, or even peanut butter if the cupboards are bare.
  • Corresponding ingredients..whatever mixes wih what you have and tastes good to you.
  • Ideas: Cream cheese and olives, Mayonaisse,
  • sour cream and spinach,
  • Boiled eggs and mayonaisse,
  • Just ham( or any sandwich meat) cheese and mayonaisse/mustard.
  • Tuna, mayonaisse and pickles
  • Sour cream and any dry soup mix or herbs on hand.
  • sour cream and black olives or mushrooms
  • Ground cucumber, onion and sour cream (can use dry minced onion!)
  • Peanut butter and bannana or jelly
  • storebought or homemadesandwich spreads like pimento cheeze, ham salad, etc...
  • Use your imagination........Anything that will lay basically smooth and flat.
Step1
Wrap your tortillas in a damp paper towel and microwave for around 15 or 20 seconds.
Step2
Spread mixture on tortilla.
Step3
Roll up in a narrow roll...pinwheel style. Around and around.
Step4
Slice into pinwheel sections!
Step5
Garnish if desired with appropriate garish....olives, parsley, bannana slices, etc.....

Tips & Warnings

  • Depending on your ingredients, you may need to use toothpicks to hold them together to serve.
