Slightly difficult this one but anyone should give it a go

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Pen
  • Computer or Writing Paper
  1. Step 1

First of all pick a subject that you're interested in

  2. Step 2

Then pick a main character, this is the character the reader will play in the story

  3. Step 3

Next write a short intro to your story, this could be your character talking about an assignment if he is a detective or talking about a newspaper article if he is a journalist.

  4. Step 4

Remember that the 6 key subjects in any story are

Who ?-Who is in the scene?

Where ?-Where are you or where is the scene being set

How-How did you get into the position you are or How is the current mood etc?

Why ?-Why did what happened happen?

    What-What happened to you?

When-Was this in the evening, morning or night?

As long as these 6 subjects are there you can make a good start!

  5. Step 5

You should now start writing about your chosen subject, but after a page the reader will have to make a choice for example this sentence is a way of starting the choices game.

Example: you come to a set of footprints on the road. Do you?

Follow the footprints if so turn to page 9
Scan your current area first if so turn to page 6
Return to your station and tell your Sergeant if so turn to page 8

  6. Step 6

If you want to make your adventure game easier you could just have two choices or if you have three or four only put one as the dead end or the death of the reader etc

  7. Step 7

Thank you for reading and have fun perfecting a cool adventure story game

Tips & Warnings
  • Try a variety of books about ghosts and ghouls or murder mysteries or even fantasy stories
  • Don't expect to get this right first time as other writers have been trying for years
  • Your book is not going to be published within a week !!. But if you would like to try and publish it send it to several different people like family and friends to proofread it first then send it to several publishers.
  • JK Rowling, for example tried several publishers before getting Harry Potter published
