Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Step1
Put the thought in your head that helping another person will make you feel better. Even though you wont feel the satisfaction of helping someone with their problems at first, you will feel it once you do it over and over again. Helping someone with their problems almost seems to make your problems disappear slowly.
Step2
Always be there for the other person. If they call you, pick up and ask what's wrong (if they are feeling bad). Actually care by putting yourself in their shoes. Tell them what you would want to hear at a time of sadness.
Step3
Caring is about asking questions and responding with effective feedback. Even though its not your problem, give the person your most honest opinion on the topic. The more honest you are, the better it is. If you can be honest, it will make it seem like you care more than if you weren't.
Step4
Let the other person know that your there for them at all times. If they have a problem, let them know that you will be there to try to pick them back up.

on 5/16/2008 Great. When you help others, you are helping yourself as well. Giving and receiving.
