My sister once got gum stuck in her hair three days before a wedding. They had to chop off her hair, and she was the flower girl:( . I'm laughing as I type this, but here are a few ways to get the sticky stuff out... All these ways also work on clothing, but for ice, just leave in freezer for a few hours.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Hair
  • Gum in hair
  • A few necessities
Step1
Peanut butter sometimes works. But anything with an oily base (baby oil, sunblock, mayo) will do. Rub it in to your hair in and around the gum. Then use your fingers to tug gently at it, until it comes out. Use a fine-tooth comb to get the last bits.
Step2
Many people suggest use ice to freeze the gum, and slide it off your hair. It basically freezes the ice on your hair, and then tiny canals form where your hair was, sliding it off easily.
Step3
Some people swear by baking soda and water. Mix it together and slather on your hair. Then you just comb it out.
Step4
Some people like hairspray. Follow directions on package of hairspray... well, not really.

Tips & Warnings

  • Some people like to let peanut butter sit in your hair, but then you smell like it. Eeeeww!
  • Hair Spray ruins the O-Zone, and destroys the ice caps, creating global warming. Please, only use when DESPERATE!!!!!!!!!!!
