3. Use the web for other things as well. Create a blog for your charity and promote the charity function. promote your charity on other blogs as well. Create a facebook group that asks for donations.

4. Make lots of phone calls! Call local area businesses. If a charity function is going to benefit the community, local, prominent business may be willing to contribute.

5. Ask for contributions from family, colleagues, and friends. take collections at work! Use all of your networks!

6. Send thank you letters to all sponsors and contributors. This will make raising money for the next charity function all the more easier.
