How to Clear up Mothball Odor

Are moths a problem in your home? If so, then you probably use mothballs in your closet. Those mothballs can leave a lingering odor in your closets, too. Here's how to get rid of that odor without harming the effectiveness of the mothballs.

Things You'll Need

• Potpourri blend
• Potpourri bag or cheesecloth
• Bay leaves
• String

Instructions

1. Take about a cup of the potpourri blend.

2. Place it in the potpourri bag.

3. If you don't have a potpourri bag, cut a large square of cheesecloth and place the potpourri in that.

4. Tie up the cheesecloth with string, if you use cheesecloth.

5. Hang the potpourri bag in your closet where you have the mothballs.

6. An alternative to the potpourri is to tie several fresh bay leaves together with string, and hang them in the closet.
