How to Use Eye Shadow as Eyeliner

In makeup, you can often use items for multitasking purposes. Eye shadow works well as an eyeliner when you want a softer look or you'd like to line your eyes in a daring color like acid green and can't find a liner in that shade.

Things You'll Need

• Eye shadow
• Angled makeup brush
• Cotton swab (optional)

Instructions

1. Dip an angled makeup brush into your eye shadow. Makeup brushes used for the eyes tend to be small and an angled brush will have a flat head.

2. Tap any excess shadow off the brush. Extra shadow clinging to the brush will make for a messy look.

3. Start at your upper eyelid's inner corner.

4. Draw a thin line along your upper lash line with the makeup brush.

5. Draw the brush along your lower lashline in a thin line as well, from inner to outer corner.

6. Soften your shadow lines with a clean cotton swab if desired, for a smokier look.
