How to Apply Shimmer Powder on Face and Body

Adding some shimmer makeup to your face and body is one way to create a glowing look for nighttime makeup. While shimmer makeup may appear too harsh and obvious for day, it's perfect for evening when you want a different, eye-catching look.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

• Shimmer powder
• Fluffy makeup brush
• Mirror

1. Dip a fluffy makeup brush into your shimmer powder.
2. Tap excess powder back into its container.
3. Sweep the brush lightly over areas of your face you most want to highlight. This will probably be the apples of your cheeks, your forehead temples, your nose and your chin.
4. Sweep the brush lightly over your shoulders.
5. Apply a light coat of shimmer powder in the middle of your cleavage.
6. Repeat Steps 1 and 2 to apply more powder as desired.

Tips & Warnings

• Shimmer makeup is best saved for evening events.
• Use a light hand when applying shimmer powder. Too much powder will make you look glittery and artificially shiny.
