Many embellishments for scrapbooks come in copper. This metal can add a special shine to your scrapbook pages, if used correctly. Here is how to add copper embellishment to a scrapbook.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Surdy scrapbook glue
  • Clear fingernail polish
  1. Step 1

Decide what king of copper look you want. If left natural, some copper pieces will oxidize. Oxidation gives copper a nice green and white patina. So, if the tarnished copper look works for your layout, then go for it.

  2. Step 2

If you like the shiny, new copper look, then you will probably need to prep the copper before you add it to your scrapbook. You can do this by coating the copper with a layer of clear-coat fingernail polish. Let the polish dry before adding the piece to your page.

  3. Step 3

To add the piece to your page you will need a strong type of scrapbook glue. Glue sticks will not work.

  4. Step 4

Coat the entire flat area on the back of the copper piece with glue and stick it to the page.

  5. Step 5

Give the page an hour or so to dry before adding it to your scrapbook so that the copper piece doesn't slip off.
