Daniusoft DVD to iPod Converter is a program which allows you to encode DVD movies to watch them on your iPod. Its features allow you to select titles and chapters, crop the video and change the settings. It's very easy to use.

Step1

Launch Daniusoft DVD to iPod Converter and insert the DVD you want to convert into your DVD drive.

Step2

Cancel any auto-run dialogs or programs that are automatic and click the "Load DVD" button.

Step3

Choose your DVD drive from the pop-up dialog.

Step4

Select a format from the "Format" dropdown. Be sure to match the format setting with the model of your iPod. If you select an incorrect format setting, the encoded video file may be larger and take more storage space on the device, or it may not play correctly. Alternatively, if you wish to convert only the audio from the DVD, you can select one of the audio formats such as M4A, MP3 or AAC.

Step5

Select subtitles. If the movie is not in your native language or some portions require subtitles, select a subtitle track from the "Subtitles" dropdown.

Step6

Select an audio track from the "Audio Track" dropdown. Some DVDs have multiple audio tracks for multiple languages or optional features such as developer commentary tracks--choose the one you want.

Step7

Select titles and chapters to convert. If you don't wish to convert the entire movie from the DVD, you can select the titles you wish to convert by putting a check mark next to the titles you wish to convert in the pane on the left. If you wish to convert only certain chapters from that title, click on the "+" next to the title and put a check mark in each chapter you wish to convert.

Step8

Crop the video. If the aspect ratio of the video does not match the aspect ratio of the device you intend to play it on, you can crop the video so it will take up the entire screen. Click on the "Crop" button to open the cropping dialog. When you're finished selecting your cropping options, click the "OK" button.

Step9

Click the "Start" button to begin converting. This may take awhile.

Step10

Copy the encoded video to your iPod by adding the video to your iTunes library and syncing it with your iPod.

Tips & Warnings

Daniusoft offers a trial version, but to get full functionality you must purchase the full version either in CD form or as a download. Run the installer program and follow the directions on screen to install the software.
