Every couple dreams of a wonderful honeymoon following a beautiful wedding. However, with the expense of a wedding there may not be much of a budget left for a honeymoon. Here are some ideas to help you save money and have the honeymoon you have dreamed of.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Create a budget and see what you can realistically afford. With your budget in mind, contact a travel agency or a travel website and find out your options.

  2. Step 2

Find a romantic destination that is closer to home. A beautiful bed and breakfast in a nearby city might be just as wonderful as a hotel in some exotic location.

  3. Step 3

Register for your honeymoon. Many couples have been living on their own--if not with each other--for many years prior to getting hitched and already have all those household items typically on the registry. Check out a honeymoon registry, which allows your loved ones to purchase "pieces" of your honeymoon on your behalf.

  4. Step 4

Plan to take your honeymoon at a time that is not a peak tourist season. If you go off season to a typical honeymoon locale, not only will you save a bundle but you'll also bypass the throngs of other tourists.

  5. Step 5

Consider a casino, even if you don't gamble. Casinos generally have great room, food and entertainment rates, in the hopes that you will spend lots of money gaming.
