How to Do Knee Rotation Yoga Exercises
Our knees support most of our weight, absorbing the shock of walking, running, twisting and turning all day long. That’s why the knee joints are so susceptible to injury and pain. Do knee rotation yoga exercises to keep your knee joints flexible and free from strain.

Sit on the floor, your legs stretched out straight before you. Let your hands lie loosely on your thighs. Breathe in and out deeply several times to prepare to do knee rotation yoga exercises.

Place both hands underneath your upper leg, just beneath the knee. Lift and bend your leg toward you, so that your thigh is at a 45-degree angle with your chest.

Without moving your upper leg or hands, slowly rotate your lower leg in clockwise circles at the knee joint. Repeat ten times.

Switch directions, now rotating your lower leg in counterclockwise circles at the knee joint. Repeat ten times.

Repeat the previous steps on the right leg.

End your knee rotation exercises by stretching both legs out in front of you, hands lying loosely on your thighs and breathing deeply in and out several times.

Tips & Warnings
• Always breathe through your nose. This not only warms the air to body temperature, but helps promote deeper breathing.
• If you’ll be more comfortable, you may want to sit up against a wall to support your back.
• Do not strain when you do knee rotation yoga exercises. The size of your circular motions simply depends on your flexibility and comfort level.
