Instructions

    • 1

Exfoliate your skin using a loofah or exfoliating scrub. By removing the dry skin, your tan will be even and it will last longer.

    • 2

Moisturize your skin, paying special attention to particularly dry areas (think elbows and knees).

    • 3

Use a sponge to apply the self-tanning product. The tan will go on smoothly and you will be less likely to stain your hands.

    • 4

Take your time and apply the tanning product to one area at a time. If you rush, it's likely you will either miss spots or over apply.

    • 5

Give the product plenty of time to dry before putting clothing on.

Tips & Warnings

  • Cover areas that would not naturally look very tan (such as your palms and wrists) with moisturizing lotion prior to applying self-tanner. Apply tanner and dab excess away.

  • If you end up with an area that is too dark, exfoliate it a bit to remove some of the color.

  • Wash your hands quickly after applying tanner.
