It is time to think way past those boring flower beds that are filled with one or two colors of flowers, spaced ever so evenly about. Think outside of the box and change that flower bed into a beautiful carpet of lush color. Add a touch of uniqueness and it will be the talk of the neighborhood.

Things You’ll Need:

  • Rocks
  • Grass and foliage
  • A variety of bright colorful flowers

How to Fill Flowerbeds with Color

Step1
Make a plan for your flowerbed before you start any planting. You need to have a goal to strive toward.
Step2
planting Buy a variety of flowers in magenta, purple, yellow, and blue.
Step3
Space the flowers out in clusters so once they begin to grow and fill in they appear carpet like.
Step4
Plant the green foliage every now and again throughout the flower bed. Spiky greenery looks very cool once it all comes together.
Step5
Distribute the rocks last. Just pile them up with no true uniform order. You just want them to sort of stack around the flower bed.

Tips & Warnings

  • Make sure for at least the few few weeks that you water the new flower bed very well.
  • It is fine to use fertilizer according to the directions to give flowers a little boost.
  • Make sure that you have checked the recommendations regarding sun before you plant the flowers.
