Things You'll Need:
- Internet Digital Camera Video Camera
-
Step 1
Father's Day GiftsThis can be a fun experience. Think about your dad's tastes! Does he like music? Create a mixed CD of his favorite albums. Is he internet challenged? Create a Facebook, Myspace or webpage for him and get him interested in the world of the internet. Spend an hour (or 2 or 3) showing and bookmarking things on the internet he would enjoy. Set up Stumbleupon so that all he has to do is hit the icon and he can surf the web on sites he will enjoy.
-
Step 2
Father's Day GiftsAre you creative? How about using your digital camera and making a collage of your father or his interests--or his grandkids. Create a video of friends and family (or siblings) telling interesting stories about him. Have your children act in a play or display skills just for grandpa.
-
Step 3
Send a card everyday for a month. Or send an email everyday with a running journal of what you are doing. Interview his mom (or any living relative) about how he was as a child, as a teenager and put the stories in a book, video or online. Offer to do chores for or with your dad around the house!
-
Step 4
Dad's enjoy doing things. Give him tickets to a sporting event, local golf tournament or seats to a college game. If you are near a major city, give him tickets to a racing event or a WWE extravaganza. Better yet, give him tickets and go with him. Time spent together is the best gift of all.
