Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
- Pimsleur Levels 1, 2, 3
- Rosetta Stone Spanish 1, 2, 3
- 1 year
- Computer
Step1
I always have the philosophy that learning a language requires multiple sources. Using Pimsleur and Rosetta Stone simutaneously can bring about exceptional results. Now, first make sure that you understand that learning a language is not going to be easy and will require a lot of dedication. This means that everyday, you will be doing something to help your lexicon of Spanish. Now, start off with level one, lesson one of both Rosetta Stone and do one lesson per day of it. While you are driving to work, listen to one lesson per day of Pimsleur Spanish. This method will give you an opportunity to not only start with single words such as dog, boy, girl, cat, etc. but actually have immersion-style conversations.
Step2
Now, the second step is to watch some type of Spanish speaking television once a week with subtitles. At this point in your language learning, it is best to actually see and read what you are hearing.
Step3
Finally, the third step is where all of your hard work comes into good use. Make a friend who speaks Spanish either in person or online so that this individual can assist you in your progression with the language. This is important because we tend to lose our ability to speak a language if we do not use it.
