Some DSL companies use pppoe in order for the customer to connect to the internet. This article will explain how to configure the Belkin Wireless Router for pppoe.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Belkin Wireless Router
  1. Step 1
    Internet Explorer
    Internet Explorer

    Connect up to your belkin router. Then click on Internet Explorer.

  2. Step 2
    Address Bar
    Address Bar

    In Internet Explorer address bar type 192.168.2.1 and hit enter.

  3. Step 3

    The Belkin Main Menu will appear. On the left side click on Connection Type.

  4. Step 4

    It will come up asking for the password. Unless you changed the password. Leave the password field blank and hit submit.

  5. Step 5

    The screen will appear to the WAN Connection Type. Put a dot next to PPPOE and then hit the next button.

  6. Step 6

    Next the WAN Connection Type PPPoE screen will appear. Enter Username and password provide by you internet provider. Then select apply changes. The router is now in PPPOE configured

Tips & Warnings
  • Not all DSL providers use pppoe. Always check with your DSL provider.
