How to make a child's Graduation Cap

This is a great craft for preschooler's and kindergarteners to make and wear for their graduation.

Things You’ll Need:

• Poster board
• Stapler
• Yarn
• Scissors
• Glue
• Tape

1. Wrap a 5- by 28-inch strip of poster board around your child's head, overlapping the ends to achieve a comfortable fit. Remove the strip and staple the overlap.
2. Center the ring on a 10-inch any color poster board square or trace it. Remove the ring, make a series of 2-inch cuts along the top edge and fold the tabs toward the center.
3. Spread glue inside the circle tracing, then turn the ring tab-side down and press it firmly to the glued section.
4. For a tassel, arrange 20 5-inch pieces of colored string in a bunch and tie them together at one end with a longer string. Now make a small hole in the top of the hat and thread through the loose end of the longer string. Knot the string end inside the hat and tape it in place to keep it from slipping back through.
