How to make Italian Meatloaf. This meatloaf is a great twist on an old classic. Wait till you cut into this and the cheese melts out. It's a tasty twist.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • egg
  • italian bread crumbs
  • tomato paste
  • mozzarella cheese slices
  • prosciutto (you can substitue baked ham)slices
  1. Step 1

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Step 2

    In a bowl, place your ground beef add 2 tbsp tomato paste, 1 egg. Mix thoroughly. Add bread crumbs till beef mixture is no longer overly moist. Approximately 1 cup.

  3. Step 3

    Once you have this completely mixed. Lay out a piece of wax paper. Place hamburger mixture on the wax paper and flatten out into a rectangle no thinner then 1 inch thick.

  4. Step 4

    Place slices of ham and cheese in the middle allowing 1/2 inch around the edges to seel the the roll.

  5. Step 5

    Next, you are going to start at one end and roll the meatloaf. Till its in a log. Now press the ends shut so that it seels all the flavors in.

  6. Step 6

    Spray casserole dish with Pam. Place meatloaf in dish. Cover bottom with water... just enough to cover the bottom. Cover the dish with foil or a lid. Bake for approximately 45 minutes. Keep close eye on it. Times may vary.

  7. Step 7

    Romove from oven allow to set 5 minutes then serve.
