How to Connect a Laptop to a TV

This article will explain how to bring up your laptop screen onto any tv with s-video compatabilities.

Things You'll Need:

• A Laptop with an S-Video Port.
• An S-Video Lead.

1. Purchase an s-video lead from any leading brand/company. e.g. Currys. Make sure that both your laptop and TV will accept the lead.

2. Once you have got an S-video lead, securly connect both ends into the laptop, and TV. Then simply on your laptop desktop, right click and choose display. A drop down menu will then display, display, click this, then another drop down menu will display Graphic Options, click on this. Then choose the display settings of which suit your needs, whilst at the same time selecting the use of the lead as the output source.

3. You now just need to make sure that your TV is on the 'S-video' chanel. Once you have clicked on this, you should see your desktop on your laptop screen, on your TV.

Tips & Warnings

• When selecting a lead, only use a leading, well known, band, to buy from.
• Make sure that both your laptop, and TV are S-video compatable.
