Here's a delicious recipe that uses up overripe bananas and tastes sweet enough for kids to gobble up. Recipe makes about 3 dozen cookies.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 3/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup shortening
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup ripe banana, mashed
  • 1-3/4 cup rolled oats
  • 6 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
Step1
In large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking soda, and cinnamon. Cut in shortening.
Step2
Add egg, banana, oats, and chocolate. Mix well.
Step3
Drop by spoonful onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees F for 15 minutes or until done. Remove from sheet and cool.
