Microwave Egg Boiler
-
1
Purchase a microwave egg boiler either online or at a department store.
-
2
Pour water into the bottom part of the boiler. Place the metallic part with the egg over the water and close the device. Then place the device in a microwave.

-
3
Cook a single egg for about four to five minutes. If you have a multi-boiler that can accommodate four eggs, it will take about nine minutes. You may have to experiment a few times to get the eggs just right.
Bowl and Foil
-
4
Wrap each egg in aluminum foil. Place the wrapped eggs in a microwave-safe bowl or glass. Pour boiling water over the eggs until they are all covered.
-
5
Place the bowl in the microwave oven. Be careful you don't spill the hot water. Cook on high for three to six minutes. Typically, at three minutes you'll have soft-boiled eggs, and at five to six minutes you'll have hard-boiled eggs.
-
6
Take the bowl out of the microwave. Run cold water over the eggs for about a minute. By doing this, you'll cool the eggs slightly and avoid having a dark layer form around the yolk of hard-boiled eggs.
