How to have the Right to be Wrong How to have the Right to be Wrong

We all have the urge to be right and correct those whom we think make a wrong statement. We all make mistakes and the key is that we all have the right to be wrong at times.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

  • Patience
  • develop new listening skills
  • An open mind
Step1
Dr. Phil might say you are a "Right Fighter". Our perceptions of what is really bothering us might be the key to understanding our own self perception and understanding of others. Keep an open mind.
Step2
We all make mistakes and it is only through our mistakes that we can learn from them. Allowing ourselves and others the freedom to be our genuine selves is going in the right direction. Allow others to be the same.
Step3
Becoming a better listener rather than always trying to be right helps us grow emotionally and intellectually.
Step4
Since I do make mistakes, I have also discovered that I have the right to make those mistakes rather than constantly being told I'm wrong. Self esteem issues may arise and there is a sense of empowerment when we can admit that we have the right to be wrong. Remember to be more creative rather than competitive.
