Things You'll Need:
- Yellow and Black Construction Paper
- Chenille Craft Pipe Cleaners
- Scissors
- Glue Stick
- Markers
- Tape

Step 1
Cut Out the Bee’s Head and BodyWith the yellow construction paper, cut out the bee’s head and body for your child. The body should be a large oval and the head can be a smaller circle.

Cut the Black StripsWith the black construction paper, cut out small strips of paper. These paper strips will be the bee’s black stripes.

Step 3
Start Gluing the StripsHave your child glue around four to five black strips of paper onto their bee’s body.

Cut the Extra Strips of Black PaperCut the excess strips of black paper from the side of the bee’s body.

Draw the Bee's FaceHave your child draw a face on their bee’s head.

Glue the Bee’s Body and Head TogetherHave your child glue their bee’s head to the body.

Cut four pieces of craft pipe cleaner. You will likely need about two and half full sized craft pipe cleaners.

Step 8
Add Craft Pipe CleanersHave your child tape two pipe cleaners to the bee’s head and two the bottom of the body (for the antenna and legs). Glue can also be used, but tape is the quickest approach to take.

Step 9
Cut two wing shapes out of construction paper. Let your child choose their favorite color.

Finished Preschool Craft ProjectHave your child glue the wings to the back of their bee.
