Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Things You’ll Need:
- Determination
- Motivation
- Intelligence
Step1
Above all else, you need a good idea. No matter how determined you are, a bad idea will never get off the ground. A good idea will give you a competitive advantage.
Step2
In addition to being determined/motivated, you need to be willing to invest the time necessary to get your business off the ground. This means more (much more) than the 8 hours a day that most people are familiar with.
Step3
Being motivated does not mean being cocky. You need to have your foot well rooted on reality and be able to realize when you are lucky. One of the things that is said about Bill Gates is that unlike alot of successful people, Bill realizes that he's been extremely lucky. He knows that he was at the right place at the right time to have gotten the MS-DOS deal with IBM which then ultimately lead to the Windows development.
