Things You'll Need:
- Digital Converter Box
- TV
- Antenna
-
Step 1
To Determine if you even need a box, you need to know how you receive your programming now. If you receive cable or satilite service YOU WILL BE UNAFFECTED. If you receive your programming via over the air antenna, you may need a DTV converter box.
-
Step 2
If you do receive your tv programming over the air with an antenna, and your TV does not have an "ATSC" Tunner in it you will need a DTV converter box.
-
Step 3
Now that you know you need this box, you have three ways to apply for a government coupon that will save you $40 on up to two boxes per household. You can get these online (link supplied below)
-
Step 4
You can take this coupon into any electronics retailer (Best Buy, Target, Wal-Mart, ect) and use it towards a converter box. These will retail for around $60
